Over the weekend the MEC crew heading south of Melbourne to the Mornington Penisula to run its pre Ironman camp for those heading to Busselton. There was a great mix in the group first timers, professional and multiple Ironman finishers. As with the previous camp held earlier this year the group not only got some great training done but learnt a lot in the process. Particularly from each other as there was such a diverse group of athletes.
Every single athlete stepped up to what was put in front of them. It was also wonderful to see the culture that has grown at MEC which is about bettering yourself and as a result helping others become better.
We have had interest about the camps so keep an eye out for dates or email email@example.com for details. The next camp will be in January 2017.
Chase the Dog MTB race
Jeff Beavis has gone around for the 3rd weekend in a row racing this time going off road in the 'Chase the Dog' MTB race through Victoria's Otways. 90k's of mud and hills has left Jeff a happy man to be back on the mountain bike after a significant crash in early 2015 and showing for the most part he has made a full recovery. Great work Jeff
