Workshops and info night

Last week saw the second swim workshop held at Melbourne Sports Aquatic Centre. The feedback from the series of workshops has been positive and with the video analysis sent to participants post session, it then allows athletes the opportunity to gain further awareness of their swimming and ability to make changes to improve.

We were also fortunate to have an information night with our partners at Evelyn Faye Nutrition. Plenty of topics around nutrition were covered with the base take home being nutrition takes trial and error to find what works for you. A big thank you to Briony and Adam for hosting a great and informative night.

Racing

Kathy Delos Santos took on the Run Melbourne Half Marathon. The aim was for a pb which in the end was no trouble for Kathy taking 7min chunk off from her last Half Marathon. Kathy has shown great commitment to her goals and being the best she can and is going from strength to strength.

A pause in the racing scene this weekend for the MEC athletes before plenty of races roll on through August/ September and into the warmer months.

Not just a triathlete coach, but also a life coach

Not only has my coach helped me to achieve what I have set out to achieve, he has taught me so much more, I actually call him my triathlete coach and life coach. He believes in me before I have believed in myself, without him I would not have achieved my 70.3 World qualifier and Ironman pb's.
