It was a good old fashion honest day down in Geelong on Sunday for the 70.3 event. The very name of endurance sport holds within it what is required to do well at it. Endure: 1. Suffer (something painful or difficult) patiently. 2. Remain in existence; last. In triathlon with the ‘sprint’ distance taking the majority of athletes over 1hr. Hardly a sprint compared to other sports but relative to the other distance available within the sport it is. Gatorade Race 3 Elwood Angelo Bonacci continued to show consistent work is rewarded with improvement with a 5th place finish in the 35-39 A/G. After a solid January he came storming home after a strong swim/bike on the run narrowly missing the 20min barrier (20min 01sec) which is a 5k run pb and done off the bike.
